Roger has been making guitars since he was nine years old, and started Fylde guitars in 1973. After qualifying as an engineer he studied musical acoustics and then designed industrial tape recorders. He played guitar, mandolin, banjo and fiddle in local folk clubs, but since then he has built more than 10,000 guitars which have been played by artists such as Martin Simpson, Martin Carthy, Davy Graham, and Bob Dylan.
“I'm particularly pleased about the "Music" bit. That's what started it all, and kept it all going for me.”
